Fascinated by the heavy crossbows employed by the Norse Dwarfs in battle, Njal always longed for such a powerful weapon for his hunts, enabling him to deliver a devasting killing blow. However, fully aware of the unwieldiness of a crossbow in the wild, he approached a wandering Dwarf smith with an odd request. The result is a unique, rune-carved bow crafted from thin layers of steel, capable of emulating some aspect of a Dwarfen crossbow while still maintaining the litheness of a hunter’s bow.
